Our dates are now posted for the upcoming 2018 Buffalo Rifle season, we are looking forward to having a great year and hopefully we will have some new shooters joining our group. We are extending the Buffalo shoot to November as long as the weather holds out If anyone has any new idea's or would like to see something added to our monthly shoot please let us know and we can see if is able to be done until the first shoot be safe travel well and let's have a great turnout in April.
I am slowly getting the schedule filled out for 2018. First and foremost, there will be no club meeting in the month of January. The next meeting will be February 15th and will include nominations for the offices of Vice President and Secretary.
Practical Handgun is scheduled to run Jan - Dec. Obviously the colder months will be weather permitting so keep an eye out for updates if the weather is not looking good.
The decorating day, which was scheduled for Dec. 3rd, is cancelled. Thanks to help from a few members, the range is already set up and decorated...thanks so much to those wonderful members.
Very chilly start in the morning for the last shoot of 2017 but we had a nice turn out with the Mifflin Kid taking the over all win. Dodge Bill and Lead Slinger Leroy was only mere seconds behind from taking the bag of gold from Mifflin Kid, guess they need to upgrade their mules and buckboard. Cougar Eye Chelsey left her Shotgun Shells back at the Ranch and had to take a 5 second miss for each that ran her time up 120 seconds, other wise she would have finished in the top 4. She is gonna fire her Ranch Boss for sure. We thank everyone that helped out this year and the 2018 Schedule will be listed very soon, See ya all next year !
Friday, December 8th at 6:00 pm at the MSC club house, for MSC members and their family.

Decorating Day will be December 3rd at 10 am. We need your help, if you can help to decorate and arrange tables please call to volunteer. Decorating day is cancelled. Thanks to help from a few members, the range is already setup and decorated.
If you would like to bring your favorite dish or dessert, we would be happy to have it. Please call for a list of food items that are already being prepared, so we do not duplicate. We will have a head count by November 26th, so you can get an idea of how many people are attending.

Our 2017 Buffalo shoot is now over and looking forward to 2018. I would like to Thank our 2017 Winner of the Buffalo Trophy Joe Bosch who ended the year with a final score of 241 coming in second place was Ted Klebon with a final score of 231 and our third place Mike Laurie with a total score of 227. Again thank you to everyone who made this a great year. Have a great Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas and remember to keep our Law Enforcement and our Military in your prayers during this upcoming holiday.
The range will be closed Monday - Saturday during regular deer season. The PGC website appears to list the season as Nov 27th to Dec 9th. If I am mistaken with this information please send me a message with the correct dates. I've made it a point to provide as much advanced notice as possible this year due to the negative feedback received on account of the short notice postings the last couple years. The club is bordered immediately by State Game Lands on the downrange side which creates an unsafe shooting environment. We know it sucks, especially for those who enjoy shooting during the week.
The 100 yard practice range can be used for emergency re-sighting but will otherwise remain closed.
All ranges will be open on Sundays throughout the hunting season.
The club will be hosting Sight in Sunday on Nov 5th from 10AM to 2PM. Members attending can win a years dues. Members and guests can win prizes including gift certificates from local gun shops. Demo stages will be set up or bring your deer rifle and sight it in for the upcoming season. The public is welcome for this event.
Here are the results from the Practical shoot earlier today.
It was a race against the rain but we gotter done. The Beaver Run Kid stood tall in his saddle today, not only did he take the over all win he also shot a clean match. Congratulations Kid for shootin great and fast might I add. The Mifflin Kid came in second with only one miss from a clean match award pin. Rumor has it that it was on the last stage and he herd the dinner bell ring and got in a hurry to get to the chuck wagon.
November 18th is the next scheduled Handgun Program!
Here are the scores for the September Buffalo shoot with an updated year to date points, If you notice the YTD scores are a little higher it is because there was a quiches in the calculation of the monthly scores that is now corrected and after triple checking then again they are now up to date . I will also post this to the Mainville website for everyone to review.
We have one shoot left before the end of the 2017 Buffalo shoot , Ed will be bringing the trophy to the last shoot so we can present it to the highest score and winner for 2017 who will have the privilege of getting in their home for the following year returning it at the last match in 2018 . We have three shooters that are within striking distance to winning Joe Bosch who is now in first place with Mike Laurie right behind him and lastly Ted Klebon who is in third position. Let's try and make the Last shoot of the year a great one with everyone turning out.
Turned out to be a very nice day with the Beaver Run Kid taken off with the Pony Express Mail cause no one came close to catching him with the over all win. To our surprise the Mifflin Kid showed up with his cowboy rig, ammo and even remembered his shootin irons too, wow must of been his day cause he got a clean match. Congratulations Mifflin Kid for great shootin. Only two shoots left at Mainville for the Cowboys so we hope to have all Cowboy Shooters at them.
Kitchen help is needed for October 7th and 8th Breakfast and Lunch. Please contact Dennis J at 570 951 7105 if you can help.
Here are the results for the August Buffalo shoot looking forward to seeing everyone next month looks like we had some good scores this month with Ted Klebon in first place ,Joe Bosch moving into second place and Mike Laurie in third. Looks like we may have to give Barry Ray some points for shooting both the pulley and the cable Looking forward to seeing everyone in Sept. there are only two shoots left for this year let see f we can make the next two with a great turnout.
Lead Slinger Leroy took the over all win with Dodge Bill and Tombstone Tex just mere seconds behind him for a second and third place, very close match guys. Just a reminder that North Mountain will have their Cowboy Shoot on August 20th and not the 27th. See ya all next month !
