The monthly meeting of the MSC is this Thursday, Dec 20th (today). We will be at the Mainville Fire Hall again this month as we continue to work on the new club bathrooms. Denny will be bringing pizza for dinner. Eats are usually about 6 or 6:30PM and the meeting will begin at 7PM. It is possible we may not have a January meeting and then to return in Feb and Mar for nomination and election of officers. More details as we know them. Hope to see all who can come tomorrow.
Today's scores have been posted on the Practical Pistol page.
Tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 10th, the club is having cement delivered for the new bathroom floors. We will be needing a few guys able to run the wheelbarrows for a couple hours. There will be a crew to do the finish work. Hopefully a few of our clubs younger, stronger members have a little time to stop by. The truck will be there at 8AM. Anyone who can come by for a couple hours and lend a good back to the project is truly needed. There is nothing you need to bring but yourself, rubber boots and a willingness to work to get this done as quickly as possible.
A current copy of the club by-laws has been posted on the Membership page. Please take some time to read them over, this is your club and every member should understand how it operates. We are also expecting to have a copy of range rules available soon.
The 2013 Cowboy Action dates have been posted.

Work is continuing on the renovation of the club bathrooms so we will be able to host larger events this coming year. The concrete floors have been jack hammered and now need to be further broken up and removed. The work party is scheduled for this coming Sunday Dec. 2nd at 9AM. If you have a little time to spare, any help would be appreciated, especially by the few that always show up to help get these things done. There are a lot of things that have to be done throughout the year to keep our club running smoothly. Also, if you have heavy pry bars, picks, heavy duty wire cutters that can cut through reinforcing wire, those would be very helpful. The concrete is roughly broken but needs to be further broken in order to get it hauled out. Of course, a good pair of heavy gloves is really a must.
Hope to see as many as possible to make short work of this project. Thanks in advance. Try to remember to wear your membership card while on club grounds so we can identify any folks that maybe should not be there.
Scores for yesterday's shoot have been posted on the Practical Pistol page.
It was brought to my attention today that the October Practical Pistol scores which I previously posted were not showing up for people to view. The issue has been resolved and they should now be available for everybody to see on the Practical Pistol page. Sorry about that and hopefully it won't happen again. I will have the scores from today posted as soon as they are available.
It's that time again folks. The meeting is tonight, Thursday, November 15, 2012. The 3rd Thursday falls early this month. Good thing as turkey day is next Thursday.
Our meeting will be held at the Mainville Fire Hall this month as our own clubhouse is being torn apart as work progresses on the new bathrooms. The place is a mess right now. An added bonus is the fire hall has heat. For anyone who may be new, welcome, and, the fire hall is the white block building on the right as you come up the road to the MSC gate.
As usual, food will be at 6PM with the meeting beginning at 7PM. This month is hamburg BBQ, slaw and beans. Come early to talk to everyone and be a part of your club and the decisions made.
There are still some folks who have not paid their 2012 dues and/or initiation payment. If you aren't sure, give the Secretary, Curt Moorhead, a call and have him check it for you.
Hope to see lots of you.
There are a total of 4 scores that will be revised then reposted. Bill Lathrop spent approx. two hours at my house with a conference call from the creator of the SASS Premier Scoring System to learn how to apply all the new added features to accommodate the Mainville Maurauder Cowboy Action Shoots. November's Cowboy Action Meeting will be held at Ed Bergen's house at 7:00 pm Thursday the 8th and snacks starting at 6:00 pm, contact Ed for directions if needed.
Scores for last weekend's shoot have been posted on the Practical Pistol page. I know several people have been anxious to see these start appearing on the website. Scores for the 22 shoot are on page 2 of the PDF.
We could use a few committed and dedicated helpers to assist with the remodeling of both Ladies and Men's rest rooms. We are starting the demolition portion on the week of 11/12/2012. Please contact Arnold Halye or Dennis Jaskiewicz for details and to be added to the work sheet schedule.
I have updated the SASS Premier Scoring Program and we still have a missing link to the DNF shooters. We are in direct contact with the Author to resolve this issue and I will revise both scores when the problem is corrected, sorry for the inconvenience .
Scores from yesterday's shoot have been posted on the Buffalo Rifle page. I'm slowly adding photos from the event as I am able to get them processed. I had a great time out there and even learned a thing or two.
Just a reminder that the monthly meeting for October will be at the clubhouse this Thursday, October 18th. Linda Snyder is making lasagna and bread. There will also be a salad. Coffee and other beverages will be availabe. Food will be ready around 6PM and the meeting will begin at 7PM.
For anyone who has not yet paid your 2012 club dues, please try and remember to bring those or take/mail them to Curt's Gun Shop.
We ran into a Data Entry issue with the new version of the SASS Scoring Program ! The new Rules that apply to all SASS scoring is that any DNF shooter can not be Ranked or Published via SASS. Bill Lathrop has been in direct contact with the author of our updated SASS program to adjust our program for the Mainville Maurauders to list DNF shooters for our own personal use. All DNF shooters WILL NOT be ranked or listed in the SASS Data Bank for a national listing . When we get the scoring issue resolved we will then post September and October scores, please bear with us.
The August newsletter is now available for download, better late than never. A permanent link for the most recent newsletter available has been added to the right sidebar on the homepage. The newsletters are not put out monthly, but we will be sure to post a news update whenever a new release is available.
If any one would like a complete set of Cowboy Action Photos that were posted on the old web site please contact Randy Hunsinger for a unedited set of 43 Photos that have been preserved on disk. You can get a copy at no charge and will be delivered at the next shoot or meeting.
I just finished setting up photo galleries for the Buffalo Rifle and Cowboy Action pages. Check them out often as we will be pruning out some of the old photos and hopefully getting some new photos up. Randy Hunsinger has been working to get the scores converted to PDF format and setup to display on the page which has been a huge help in moving forward. Hopefully later today or over the weekend I can setup a 3gun page and add some of the photos that I took at last month's shoot.
Well I've officially flipped the switch. It is with great pleasure we can FINALLY say this site is now live! Take a look around and please check back often. This is definitely a work in progress and nowhere near completion. A lot of content was pulled straight off the old site and stuffed into the database with little or no edits. If you find something that doesn't work, or you have suggestions, by all means please Contact Me.
