Results from the shoot on the 30th are available on the 3 Gun page. The stages were challenging enough on their own but things really got interesting when the rain showed up. I haven't had a chance to grab all the photos off of Facebook yet so if you haven't seen them already keep checking back as I plan to get them on the website tomorrow. Hope to see everybody again in September.
Results from the evening shoot are available on the Practical Handgun page. Quite an impressive turnout for the first evening shoot.
Due to popular demand, a fourth class has been scheduled for the 2013 Handgun Usage, Safety and General Knowledge Program at the Mainville Sportsman Club on September 13th and 14th. Like the other classes, this will be presented by Paul DeAngelo of the Columbia County Sheriff's Deparment. For more detailed information and a printable registration form, please visit the Handgun Program activity page. Contact Dennis Jaskiewicz with any questions you may have.
Minimum round counts are as follows
These would be the minimum number of rounds to engage each target with no misses. Hint....BRING EXTRA AMMO!
ALL shooters must bring a box of quality, FACTORY, 9mm FMJ ammo for each run (Federal or Winchester is recommended). All shooters will be using a provided 9mm M16 for one stage. If you are shooting multiple classes, you'll need a box for each run.
The June Handgun Program class is full and registration has been closed.

The Cowboy Action Scores for June 9th are posted. We had a good turn out of 26 shooters including 3 new shooters along with two helpers and Dodge Bill stuck temporarily in a wheel chair to give his support and coach us on. All went well thanks to a group of many to help put the June shoot together and a special thanks goes out to Arnold Halye for spending his day at the club grounds in the rain roping off the parking area and talking to the IBS shooters about the Cowboy Action event going on the same day.
Results and photos from the PGOA Spring Fun shoot are up on the Special Events page.

Thanks to Scott Covey and Greg Markle for allowing us to use their media from the PC3C shoots. Both the Subgun and 3 Gun activity pages have been updated with some awesome photos taken by Greg. Keep checking back for videos as well I just need to do some CSS tweaking to make the YouTube player fit into the gallery layout.
Scores for the pistol shoot today are available on the Practical Handgun page. We had 33 shooters today, definitely a good turnout.
Pennsylvania Gun Owners Association would like to invite you to the 2013 Spring Fun Shoot from 12:00 pm until out of ammo. There are many different categories to compete in and the proceeds are to benefit the Berwick Rifle Team Scholarship Fund. Please see the Bulletin Board post for a full event description and rules.
The Cowboy Scores for the Mothers Day Shoot are posted. The wind gust were so bad some times you had to use Kentucky Wind-age and the wind literally had blown some of the steel plates off of their rest during the shoot, but that worked out well for some cause they got a free score thanks to Mother Nature !
The Bulletin Board page now has some content. As stated previously, this is an attempt to provide somewhat of a club members area, including the Bulletin Board / Trading Post content from the old site. If you have anything you would like posted please contact Craig Smith or Randy Hunsinger with details. Posting to the bulletin board is available to MSC members only and all content will be subject to approval. Posts will be cleaned and purged regularly.
Results for the April 28 2013 Subgun shoot have been posted on the Subgun page. I had a chance to see a couple of the stages during setup yesterday and they looked pretty wicked. If you haven't been out to watch one of these shoots in person you should definitely try to make it to one this season.
Due to popular demand, a third class has been scheduled for the 2013 Handgun Usage, Safety and General Knowledge Program at the Mainville Sportsman Club on June 21st and 22nd. Like the other two classes, this will be presented by Paul DeAngelo of the Columbia County Sheriff's Deparment. For more detailed information and a printable registration form, please visit the Handgun Program activity page. Contact Dennis Jaskiewicz with any questions you may have.
The scores for the shoot today have been posted on the Practical Handgun page. We had good weather and a decent turnout this month.
Scores from the April 20th shoot have been posted on the Buffalo Rifle page.
We had a great turn out for the first shot this year with a lot of shooters from the North Mountain Club and it was a little like the North versus the South but it was all in fun. Check out the Cowboy Action Scores for April 14th, 2013 but make sure you got a crying towel handy or maybe for the next shot try bribing the score keeper with a 20 dollar bill ! That 20 dollar bribe didn't work for me the last time I shot at North Mountain, they all were staring at me with their hands on their six shooters !
The monthly club meeting for April 18th at 7:00 pm will be held at the Mainville Sportsman Club and not at the Firehall. The weather has gotten a lot warmer and the club house construction in nearly complete. If a meal is provided the food line starts at 6:00 pm.
The long awaited Bulletin Board section of the website is underway. The goal is to provide somewhat of a club members area, including the Bulletin Board / Trading Post content from the old site as well as improved photo galleries to better support the large amounts of photos that we are anticipating. The majority of the new content is still in development, however the improved Photo Galleries are available now. In addition to moving all of the previous photos into the new galleries, approximately 250 Practical Handgun photos have been added in addition to photos of the Clubhouse/Bathroom Remodel progress.
The news feed on the landing page has been shortened to show only the latest 3 news posts. You can find a full list of the news archive by clicking on the All News link located above the news feed on the right side.
We had approx. 22 members that showed up to pay their dues and approx. 10 members for the work day. The members for the work day split up into two groups, one group went with Denny Jaskiewicz out to the range with his equipment and did major repairs along with a massive clean up and they were not very happy with the different types of trash the members shot up and left behind. The other group was bullwhipped around inside and outside of the club house cleaning up, removing trash then making a dust cloud sweeping the floor you could not hardly see through with Arnold Halye cracking the whip.
