Well today started out not so nice with rain and overcast but by the time it was to start the match the rain gave way to a nice but damp day for shooting with some really nice scores on all three stages. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next Buffalo shoot in June we had a new shooter today Randy who Denny was nice enough to bring out to our match hope to see him in the coming months. Again thanks to everyone for coming out
A little on the damp side to start out the morning but it turned out to be a nice day with a bit of sprinkles now and then. The top seven shooters all finished first in their class but the Beaver Run Kid took the over all win with the Keller Hollow Kid and Lead Slinger Leroy trying to track him down. Dodge Bill and Sidewinder Seth helped out a potential new shooter throw some lead at the last stage and she won the title as Jeraco Jamie for her efforts , hope she likes it.
If you are planning to attend the Steel shoot on May 7th you may want to bring more ammo than usual. The estimated round count to shoot a perfect match will remain within the norm. However, some different configurations and new targets are going to be used which may prove to be a bit tricky. You've been warned.
Results for the Practical Handgun shoot on April 23rd are available. This is the first time I have done the Practical results using Practiscore so for anybody who has not seen results from the Steel shoots this is going to look a little different. There are two pages in the PDF. The first contains the combined high and low cap scores like everybody is used to seeing. The second page has high and low cap separate.
The Christian Gun Owners Day event scheduled for May 13th has been cancelled.

Come join us on June 4th for a fun filled day of hand-gunning to benefit our veterans! All proceeds will be given to the Valor Clinic Foundation. Mixed steel and paper targets scored using time plus. Entry fee is a $15 donation or $15 worth of non-perishable can goods.
The items listed above are preferred items. Other items will be accepted. Please keep in mind that cans should be flip top so no can opener is required, and no glass jars.
We will be running squads at 9AM and again at 2PM. Shooters may opt to donate twice and shoot with both the morning and afternoon groups! Mandatory safety briefings will take place at 8:45AM and 1:45PM prior to shooting. If you are not at the safety briefing you will not shoot!
The shoot will consist of 5 stages, 2 steel knockdown, 1 paper and steel, 1 all paper, 1 steel challenge. The minimum round count is approximately 100 rounds. Remember, the minimum round count means you have to shoot clean. BRING EXTRA AMMO!
We are offering pre-registration via Practiscore. This will help us get an idea of expected attendance. As of now we are planning to allow walkon registration beginning at 8:00AM and 1:00PM on the day of the shoot. However, if slots fill up via Practiscore that may change. We encourage all shooters to register via Practiscore to ensure a spot!
Well we made it through our first shoot of the year and we had a great turnout with two new shooters Barry Ray and Jay Gross who for the first time out shot most of the season Black Powder Shooters even with the heavy winds Barry and Jay great job and hope to see the both of you at the rest of the matches this year. Our next shoot will be in May and let's see if we can make it even a larger turn out with some more new shooters.
