Lead Slinger Leroy took the over all win with Dodge Bill and Tombstone Tex just mere seconds behind him for a second and third place, very close match guys. Just a reminder that North Mountain will have their Cowboy Shoot on August 20th and not the 27th. See ya all next month !
The next Handgun Program has been scheduled for September 16th.
Follow the link below for August 6th 2017 Steel results.
Here are the results for the last Practical shoot.
Here are the results for the July Buffalo shoot looking forward to seeing everyone next month looks like we had some good scores this month with Joe Bosch moving into second place Ted in first and John S in second. Good luck to The Most Reverent Father John S. who is being transfer to another parish outside of Allentown. Before I forget thanks to Ed, Joe and Barry for helping out while I was home taking care of my wife with her new knee replacement. We had a great turnout for July let's try and do the same if not better for August.
Here are the results for the shoot on the 8th
Again no clean match awards for this month, guessin no one could bribe the new score keeper Jeraco Jammie, she a tough one and no one could get away with nothing ! The Beaver Run Kid took the over all win with Dodge Bill and the Keller Hollow Kid chasing him down for second and third. It was nice to see several return shooters throwin some lead around with their old irons.
Photos are up for the June 2017 Buffalo shoot.
A pistol shoot and picnic has been scheduled for Saturday, July 8th at 4PM. This shoot will include steel and paper targets. The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks. You may bring additional food/beverages but it is not required. The fee for the shoot will be $10.00. Everyone is welcome!
The June shoot started out again looking a little gray but towards the end of the match it surprise all of us by not raining on us. We had a light turnout this month but still and exceptional time had by all who came out. Looking forward to our next shoot in July let's see if we can get a good turnout and that the weather will be clean Maybe we can get Father John to say a prayer for us.
A bit warm for a early June shoot but we had a nice turn out any way. Beaver Run Kid had the over all win with no one close to chasing him down, guess we got to give his mules some moon shine to distract him a little. Bull Bigguns gets the first new Mainville Marauders Clean Match award pin. Congratulations Bull Bigguns for shootin straight.
A work day has been called for Saturday June 17th to install underground conduits on the skeet range. Bring rakes, shovels, tape measures and saws for PVC pipe. Work will start around 8AM.
Here are the results from the Valor Clinic Benefit shoot over the weekend. The weather only cooperated for the morning squad but plenty of fun was still had.
The Valor Clinic Benefit Shoot is coming up next weekend on June 4th! Anyone interested in helping setup can come to the club Saturday, June 3rd, around 11:30 AM. Any questions regarding the shoot or setup should be directed to Mike (contact info on the shoot flyer). We are still looking for help in the kitchen on Sunday as well.
We are offering pre-registration via Practiscore. This will help us get an idea of expected attendance. As of now we are planning to allow walkon registration beginning at 8:00AM and 1:00PM on the day of the shoot. However, if slots fill up via Practiscore that may change. We encourage all shooters to register via Practiscore to ensure a spot!
Well today started out not so nice with rain and overcast but by the time it was to start the match the rain gave way to a nice but damp day for shooting with some really nice scores on all three stages. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next Buffalo shoot in June we had a new shooter today Randy who Denny was nice enough to bring out to our match hope to see him in the coming months. Again thanks to everyone for coming out
A little on the damp side to start out the morning but it turned out to be a nice day with a bit of sprinkles now and then. The top seven shooters all finished first in their class but the Beaver Run Kid took the over all win with the Keller Hollow Kid and Lead Slinger Leroy trying to track him down. Dodge Bill and Sidewinder Seth helped out a potential new shooter throw some lead at the last stage and she won the title as Jeraco Jamie for her efforts , hope she likes it.
If you are planning to attend the Steel shoot on May 7th you may want to bring more ammo than usual. The estimated round count to shoot a perfect match will remain within the norm. However, some different configurations and new targets are going to be used which may prove to be a bit tricky. You've been warned.
Results for the Practical Handgun shoot on April 23rd are available. This is the first time I have done the Practical results using Practiscore so for anybody who has not seen results from the Steel shoots this is going to look a little different. There are two pages in the PDF. The first contains the combined high and low cap scores like everybody is used to seeing. The second page has high and low cap separate.
The Christian Gun Owners Day event scheduled for May 13th has been cancelled.
For those interested, here is a PDF copy of the Valor Clinic Benefit Shoot flyer for printing and distribution.
