Started the morning a little on the chilly side for the last Cowboy Shoot of the 2016 season. Keller Hollow Kid had his shootin irons tuned in for the over all win with Lead Slinger Leroy coming in in a very close second and Sidewinder Seth chasing them for third place. Dusty Ed finished with a very impressive over all score winning in his class, said he just wanted to get out of the cold. Mifflin Kid's irons don't work well in the cold so he had to settle for a fourth place finish, thinkin his joints don't like the cold. Dedeye Mike kept everyone hustling and chalked down the scores for the day. A special thanks to all that helped out this year and see ya all in 2017.
Sunday, November 13th will be Sight In Sunday. The club will be open to both the public and members. Food will be available. There will be drawings for gift certificates at local gun shops and for membership dues.
Saturday, November 19th the club will host another Handgun Class.

Wow what a way to end the year with our last Buffalo Shoot it started out a little chilled. we have some challenges with the Sun and some of our targets it seen that they disappear for the entire match (275) It looks like Ed (Dusty Ed) Bergen was the top shooter with a score of 226 Congratulations with second and third places going to Jimmy D at 217 and Ted Klebon at 216. We would again like to thank everyone for coming out every month and making a premiere Buffalo Rifle Shot with great group of friends. Looking forward to 2017 let's see if we can bring some more shooter out every month. Would like to wish everyone a very blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas season. And lastly let's no forget in November to get out and vote we have a very important election and we have to make sure that the person we vote for is a strong advocate of the 2nd amendment and our constitution.
A nice cool day for yet another great Cowboy Action Shoot and yes the Mifflin Kid left his holster rig at home yet again, the neighbor said that his mules and buckboard was a leavin with out him so he was in a gosh darn hurry. Some how the Mifflin Kid managed to shoot a clean match even with using the stage props for holsters, wow and congratulations Kid. Lead Slinger Leroy took the over all win with Dodge Bill running him down for second place. Just a reminder that there is only one shoot left at North Mountain on 10/23/2016 and one left at Mainville (weather pending) on 11/13/2016.
The Wild Bunch Match that dodge bill was putting together has been cancelled for the month of October.
It was another great day for our monthly buffalo shoot. Our turnout today was a little light due to a plate match being held at another club. Next month will be our last match for the year and at the end of the match we will be presenting the yearly Buffalo Rifle Trophy to the lucky winner. It was great to see Shawn at the match today as well as Dusty Ed son Eddie Jr. let's try and make our last match a great one with a good turn out. We would like to thank everyone for taking the time out and making this as always a great day at the range. Until next month be safe and God Bless.
We had two clean match shooters, congratulations goes out to Rushtown Kid and Mifflin Kid for shooting a clean match. Some say they were making plans with the score keeper for a free dinner at Bonanza Steak House. Beaver Run Kid took the over all win with Quick whit Bigguns (his youngen) coming in second just a few seconds short of whoopen his butt. Then 3rd thru 7th was also a very close for those cowboys to rustle it out.
SPECIAL NOTE ; Dodge bill is putting together a Wild Bunch shoot for on a Saturday. The only difference with the shooten irons from standard Cowboy Action is that you replace both six shooters with a 40 or 45 cal. simi auto. Please contact Dodge Bill at 570-690-3932 or email@example.com for any questions or if you will attend.
Help is needed in the kitchen on Saturday August 27th and Sunday August 28th. Please call Denny at 570-951-7105.
Buffalo Scores are now posted for August once again would like to Thank everyone for coming out on this nice warn day. We had some nice scores today with Dusty Ed shooting a high of 38 on the Buffalo. We also had two shoot off's on the Pistol and Lever action rifles with Dale winning the pistol and Gene the lever action nice shooting everyone. Please remember our September shoot will be one week later the correct date is posted on the web. Looking forward to seeing everyone next month. We only have two shoots left for this year. So let's try and make both of them to be a great turnout. The yearly scores are pretty close for the Buffalo Rifle Trophy. Again Thanks for making this a fun shoot
It was a very humid day for the shoot and Beaver Run Kid took the over all win. No clean match shooters this time all though The Mifflin Kid only had one miss and some stated that it was because he shoot thru the target hanger hole with out hitting any metal. If you ask him he will swear that is what he was aiming for, yeah okay. Dodge Bill set up a simple yet complicated stage where all the shooters except for three got procedures just because of a double tap on one target. See ya all next month.

We would like to welcome one of our new shooters today Shawn who for his first time out did a great job on the long range plates looking forward to seeing him at the future shoots. We had some really high scores on both the money targets as well as the long range target. On the Pistol Caliber we had no other than Dusty Ed taking that with Marty Leiby taking the Lever action with a score of 9 great shooting. On the Buffalo we have John S coming in with a 39 really impressive. We only have three more matches before we have a new 2016 winner looking forward to seeing everyone next month for the August shoot.
